This page details the changes and additions made to the site as they happen. Minor changes to spelling, grammer etc.. will not be noted.
Minor Update: 16/12/06
Changes in structure to accomodate the next major update. This will document all the changes in ownership for all the plots of land in the townlands covered by this site.
This will also include images, additional historic maps and local details.
Minor Update: 8/6/04
This is a minor update. The interactive maps have changed to a new style.
When you run the mouse over any plot of land on the townland maps, a zoomed image of that plot appears with a brief description of its occupants.
A mouse click then takes you to the details page for that plot.
This is my intended style going forward.
Also have added images of Griffith books for the general locality to the Resources page.
First Major Update: 30/5/04.
This is the first major update of the site.
I am concentrating on getting the Griffith data from 1858 up first.
Because of this, the information on each land plot is sparser than for Monasterredan.
Additions for this update:
- Information for Townland of Tawnymucklagh, all plots.
- Revised Casey family tree detailed in plot 17. This effects Monasterredan plot 8 as well.
- Clickable index of all plots from interactive maps available.
Launch of Site: 12/5/04.
The site was launched on May 12th, 2004. Available at this time are:
- Site Layout.
- Information for Townland of Monasterredan, plots 1 to 6 missing.
- Maps from 1777, 1837 and 1860.
- Census returns of 1901.
