Tawnymucklagh Plot Number 15.

As you walk down the "Island Road" from the village crossroads, the first few fields along the road on the right hand side are in Monasterredan. The land on the left is in Tawnymucklage as is the rest of the land on the right. Starting from the crossroads, this plot has all the land in Tawnymucklagh until halfway to the railway line. It also has a long narrow section as far as Annaghbeg.

Griffith 1858.

At this time, the plot of land was owned jointly by seven different people with four houses on the land. The owners were Mary McHugh, Loughlin McHugh, John McHugh, Thomas Coleman, Bartholomew McHugh, Patrick Sharkett and Dominick Flannery.

Two of the people living in plot 14 (Thomas Coleman & Dominick Flannery) had gardens here while Loughlin McHugh lived here but had his garden in plot 14. Though all the farm land here is owned by McHughs and the farm land in plot 14 owned by Colemans, Caseys and Flannerys, the usage is so intermingled within plots 14 and 15 that there was probably some inter family relationship by marriage a couple of generations earlier.
