The house here is in fact two houses joined together. John Casey jnr lived in one of them with John Casey living in the other. Griffith always uses junior after a name when he refers to the son of a father with the same Christian name. This was to ensure that the correct person could be identified when money needed to be collected. Therefore, this was a father and son living side by side in two houses.
