Tawnymucklagh Plot Number 2.

This is a field that is at the lake shore at the bottom of plot 1. It is accessed by the same lane opposite Kelly's as you would use to get to the houses on plot 1.

Griffith 1858.

This land was owned by Dominick Sharkett. He also owned plots 3, 4 and a substantial part of both plots 12 and 18. He is noted as having a house on plots 3, 12 and 18 at this time.

This seems a very dispersed holding and with three houses there appears to be more accommodation than is required. Plots 2,3 and 4 are bracketed together so they are definitely owned by the same Dominick Sharkett. Logically, plots 12 and 18 would be owned by two other Dominick Sharketts. But Griffith is very careful about distinguishing between different people of the same name in any particular townland. So, no matter how unlikely it is, we have to assume its the same person until proven otherwise.
